What we do

Food, essentials, and a welcoming place for anyone in need.

Who we serve

Without questioning or judgment, we serve anyone in need.

Every weekday of the year, we serve a hot meal and a bag lunch to go at 320 W. 7th Street. We also offer a monthly Essentials Pantry, an outdoor food pantry box that’s open 24/7, and a place to shower, do laundry, get mail, and connect with community support.

Our programs

How we help

With compassion, respect, and dignity, we help underserved neighbors meet their most basic needs.

Lunch Program

Monday–Friday · 10:30–11:30 a.m.

Every weekday of the year, we serve a hot meal and a bag lunch to go for individuals and families in need. Guests can also get clothing from our Clothing Closet, plus sleeping bags, backpacks, bus passes, and gear for cold or wet weather.

In cold or wet weather, we serve meals and other services indoors. Each month and on holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, we serve a special hot meal.

50 to 80 guests a day join us for lunch.

Plastic bins labeled with categories like shampoo, body lotion, and washcloths are neatly organized on shelves, each containing various personal care items and supplies in a storage room.

Essentials Pantry

First Saturday of the month · 8:30–10:30 a.m.

Once a month, the Essentials Pantry offers everyday items that Bridge Card benefits typically don’t cover.

Personal hygiene: toilet paper, toothpaste, soap, pads and tampons, deodorant, and more.
Household: paper towels, spray cleaners, dish and laundry soap, and more.

Outdoor Food Pantry Box

Open 24 hours, 7 days a week

Our pantry box outside the building on 7th Street holds shelf-stable food and essential items, and it’s open any time, day or night. We restock it throughout the week, and anyone in need can use it, with no registration or appointment.

Need more food or essentials? Call our office at 248-541-4100, and we may be able to package some for you.

Facility Access & Community Support

Showers on Fridays

When the building is open for other programs, neighbors can use our Wi-Fi, restrooms, and telephones, and get help with laundry and mail. Showers are available on Fridays.

Many unhoused neighbors use our building as their mailing address, which helps them access government resources, job opportunities, and more.

Through partnerships with Oakland County services, Community Housing Network, and Easterseals outreach programs, we connect people with more support and resources.

“At Outreach on 7th, we believe every neighbor deserves compassion, dignity, and support.”
